Milan and Barcelona are setting up a possibility to complete a reciprocal deal between the two clubs this summer.
The Italian network “Sport Mediaset” revealed that the two clubs may conduct an exchange deal between Alessio Romagnoli and Junior Firpo.
The name of the Spanish full-back has appeared among Milan’s goals since last season, as the Rossoneri are seeking, according to some reports, to include him on loan.
Firpo, 24, played only 18 games in the Blaugrana shirt, scoring one goal and making another, and he can occupy the right and left back positions.
The report indicated that the two clubs are working to include Romagnoli in the deal to conduct an exchange process.
Milan captain Romagnoli’s contract expires at the end of next season and he has not yet reached an agreement to renew his contract with the Rossoneri.
Romagnoli’s agent, Mino Raiola, seeks a salary of up to 6 million euros per season to renew his contract.
Romagnoli joined Milan in the summer of 2015 for 30 million euros from Roma and played 221 matches in the red and black shirt and won the local Super Cup.
