Jose Mourinho, coach of Roma, believes that Dean Henderson is the most deserving of the Manchester United goalkeeper.
“He’s a good goalkeeper and I don’t think he’s an exceptional goalkeeper yet,” Mourinho told The Times.
“When I say that he has not become an exceptional goalkeeper yet, I mean that he will be in the future,” he added.
And he continued, “I remember Henderson as a child at Manchester United and he would always ask me out on loan and he would always tell me that he would come back to be the number one goalkeeper in the team.”
“He told me that when he was the fourth goalkeeper of the team, he has incredible self-confidence,” he concluded.
Henderson is one of the England goalkeepers in the upcoming Euro 2020.
Henderson returned to Manchester United at the beginning of last season after the end of his loan with Sheffield United.
Henderson played with United last season 26 games in various competitions, during which he kept 13 clean sheets.
