According to the Greek “to10” website, Besiktas “seeks to strengthen its attack with Coca to replace Schenk Tosun, whose loan has ended and he will return to Everton.”
The report added, “The Turkish league champion wants to include Coca for a season on loan, with the right to buy in the summer of 2022.”
But the deal may be a little disrupted, according to the report, “The Greek club included the Brazilian Taquinio Soares, and he will have the right to participate with the team starting from the matches of the preliminary third round of the Champions League, and he will not play the matches of the second round of preliminary competition, which may delay Cocas departure.”
The Brazilian will not be entitled to participate in 3 Champions League matches in light of a penalty imposed on him when he was a player in Porto, Portugal.
The report indicated that “Koka may join the Turkish team next August if negotiations develop after the end of the third preliminary round of the Champions League.”
According to the Turkish “sporx” website, Besiktas is also eyeing the former Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa and the Bosnian Edin Dzeko, the current Roma striker.
Coca played 39 games last season, scored 15 goals and assisted 6, and won the Greek League title.
With the Greek Olympiacos shirt, the international striker played 90 matches, in which he scored 38 goals and assisted 7, and his contract extends until 2023.
