Spanish coach Rafael Benitez has agreed to take over the coaching job at Everton, starting next season.
And the English “Sky Sports” news network reported that Benitez agreed to train Everton to succeed Italian Carlo Ancelotti, who went to coach Real Madrid after the departure of Frenchman Zinedine Zidane from the royal team.
The 61-year-old will sign a 3-year contract with Everton.
Thus, Benitez returns to the English Premier League again after 11 years of leaving Liverpool.
Benitez will become Everton’s No. 5 coach for the past six years.
Since Benitez left Liverpool, he has coached Inter Milan, Chelsea, Napoli, Real Madrid and Newcastle United.
It was his last training stop in the Chinese League.
Everton finished the Premier League last season in tenth place.
