FilGoal | News | Taekwondo – 4 bronze medals for Egyptian women in the African Championships


Egyptian women have won 4 bronze medals so far at the African Taekwondo Championships in Senegal.

Hedaya Malak won the bronze medal in the 67kg category.

Hedaya Malak won the silver medal in the last championship in 2018, but in the weight of under 73 kg, before playing in the competitions under 67 kg.

Taqi Shaaban also won the bronze medal in the over 73 kg category.

Noor Hussain also won the bronze medal in the 47 kg weight category.

Ashrakat Nabil also won the bronze medal in the 57 kg weight category.

Egypt will participate with 15 players in the tournament held in Senegal on Saturday and Sunday.

The Egyptian delegation at the men’s level includes: Omar Sharaki, weight under 54 kg, Mustafa Farag, 58 kg, Ahmed Wael 63 kg, Abdel Rahman Wael 68 kg, Abdul Rahman Khalaf 74 kg, Saif Issa 80 kg, and Ahmed Al-Rawi 87 kg.

As for the women’s level, Egypt is represented by Shahd Sami (under 46 kg), Noor Hussein under 49 kg, Menna Medhat 53 kg, Ashraqa Nabil 57 kg, Rawan Rifai 62 kg, Hedaya Malak 67 kg, Maysoon Ihab 73 kg, and Taqa Shaaban weighing over 73 kg.
