Zaghloul Siam, general coordinator of the Olympic team, told وقالFilGoal.com: “Taher Mohamed left the Olympic team camp with a medical report from Al-Ahly due to an ankle injury and will return to his club to undergo remedial training.”
He added, “Omar Marmoush, the German player from Wolfsburg, also left the camp due to a hamstring muscle strain and is undergoing treatment in a medical center, and the technical staff is constantly monitoring his condition.”
And he concluded his statements, “The technical staff of the national team, led by Shawky Gharib, excluded the duo from the first Olympic team match against South Africa due to injury, provided that it be re-evaluated before the second match.”
The Egyptian Olympic team will play a friendly against South Africa twice, the first next Thursday at the Suez Stadium and the second to be scheduled at a later time.
