England coach Gareth Southgate has announced that right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has been excluded from the squad that is preparing to participate in the European Championship “Euro 2020” due to injury.

Alexander-Arnold left the friendly match between England and Austria yesterday, Wednesday, due to an injury.

A CT scan done by Alexander Arnold showed his inability to participate in the tournament with England.

And the FA confirmed in its official statement that Southgate will determine whether or not to include a replacement for Alexander Arnold, after the friendly match against Romania, which will be played next Sunday.

And Liverpool published an official statement in which he explained that the player will return to the club’s training headquarters in order to start the rehabilitation program in order to be ready before the start of next season.

And the “Athletic” network confirmed that Southgate is considering including a player from the quintet: Ben White, Ben Godfrey, James Ward-Prowse, Jesse Lingard or Ole Watkins instead of Alexander Arnold.

Although the former quintet does not play as a right-back, but the presence of 3 players who can occupy this position in the list, they are: Kieran Trippier, Reyes James and Kyle Walker, may make Southgate include a player who plays in a different position.

Alexander Arnold played 13 international matches and scored one goal.
