Gabriel said on MBC Egypt: “Sassi is supposed to arrive in Egypt on Tuesday or Wednesday. We are waiting for that date. Legal affairs are studying all possibilities. We do not want to pre-empt events.”
He continued, “The club will then issue an official statement. Sassi earlier sent an answer saying that May 30 is the last date for receiving his overdue dues. We paid the full dues before the deadline.”
“The player may have signed for another club,” he concluded.

Ferjani Sassi’s contract with Zamalek expires at the end of the current season, but the player is currently in Tunisia with his country’s national team to play friendly matches.
Sassi suffered an injury against Congo, and Tunisia announced that it would exclude him against Algeria and Mali in the next two friendlies.
Ferjani Sassi joined Zamalek in 2018 from the Saudi club Al-Nasr. With them, he won the African Confederation Cup, the African Super Cup, the Egypt Cup, the Egyptian Super Cup, as well as the friendly Egyptian Saudi Super Cup.
Sassi participated with Zamalek in 103 matches. He scored 16 goals and assisted 17 others.
This season, Sassi has so far participated in 27 matches in various tournaments. He scored 3 goals and made 7 others.
Zamalek is preparing to face Aswan on June 17, in the 26th round of the Egyptian League.
