Shawky Gharib, coach of the Egyptian Olympic team, confirmed that he seeks to benefit from the experience of the two friendly matches against South Africa, noting that he follows the matches of his competitors in the Tokyo Olympics 2021.
The Olympic team is preparing for the first meeting with South Africa next Thursday at eight in the evening, as part of the preparation program for the Tokyo Olympics, which begins in July.
Shawky Gharib said in a press statement today, Tuesday: “We are seeking to check on the level that the players have reached a week after the start of the rally.”
He added, “We will give the opportunity to the largest number of players during the two matches in South Africa.”
He continued, “The technical staff follows the friendly matches played by our rival teams in Tokyo.”
Today, the Olympic team continued its training at the Suez Stadium in preparation for the confrontation with South Africa, where the competition between the players continued during the exercises to prove themselves.
The training was divided into three paragraphs, the first for physical preparation, and the second for tactical sentences, then a strong division in the middle of the field between three teams of players, before the training concluded with penalty kicks.
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian team will play in the Tokyo Olympics as part of Group C teams, along with Argentina, Spain and Australia.
