In the presence of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Irrigation, a new Egyptian-Sudanese move regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam

On Wednesday, the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs began a session of joint talks between the Sudanese and Egyptian sides.

The Sudanese side was headed by Dr. Maryam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Yasser Abbas, Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources, while the Egyptian side included Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, and Water Resources and Irrigation Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aty, in the presence of members of the delegations of the two countries.

The talks deal with the issue of the Renaissance Dam and the ongoing efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries, as well as consultations on various issues of concern to the two countries.

The Egyptian delegation will meet Dr. Abdullah Hamdok, Prime Minister of Sudan, and Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, President of the Sovereign Council.

It is scheduled to issue a joint statement on the Sudanese-Egyptian talks.
