A source in Al-Ahly club confirmed that Mahmoud Metwally, the team’s defender, who is returning to participate with his team in the Egypt Insurance friendly, suffered a strain in the hamstring muscle.
Metwally left Mokhtar Al-Titch Stadium during the friendly match, affected by his injury, which was initially diagnosed, according to the “Yalla Kora” source, with a strain in the back muscle.
The source indicated that the Al-Ahly defender will undergo a knee examination in order to ensure its safety, especially that the player is returning to participate after a long absence due to a cruciate ligament injury.
Mosimane hopes that his defender will be fit to participate in the upcoming matches, so that he will be of assistance to the defense against Esperance de Tunis in the African Champions League semi-finals.
