The Algerian national team achieved a historic record after defeating its Malian guest 1-0, in a friendly match held on Sunday at the “Mustafa Tchaker” stadium, in Blida.
The Algerian team owes this victory to its star Riyad Mahrez, who scored the only goal in the match, in the 58th minute.
The Algerian team reached the 26th match in a row, in which it is unbeaten, as it succeeded in winning 19 matches and drawing in 7.
Thus, the Algerian national team became the most African team in the “undefeated” series, equal to the team of Côte d’Ivoire, which has previously played the same number of matches without incurring any loss.
It is noteworthy that the Algerian national team is preparing for the qualifiers for the Qatar World Cup 2022, and the finals of the African Nations Cup, which will be held in Cameroon early next year.
