Hazem Al-Hadidi, agent of Mohamed El-Shennawy’s goalkeeper, Al-Ahly club, confirmed that the player will continue with the team until the end of the current season, stressing that it is normal for a player of El-Shennawy’s size to receive a number of offers every period.
Al-Hadidi added, in statements to the “Be On Time” program, “What I trust is that Mohamed El-Shennawy is complementary with Al-Ahly and there is nothing that makes him think about anything else, and he is willing to participate with the Olympic team, but any player of the size of El-Shennawy is likely to receive offers every month.”
And Al-Shennawy’s agent continued, “Al-Ahly focuses on all competitions, and Al-Shennawy said I am with Al-Ahly and I will not move unless Al-Ahly decides to discuss the matter.”
Speaking about Amr Al-Sulayya, Al-Hadidi continued, “We also hear news about Amr Al-Sulayya, and one day, Al-Sulayya will be subject to renewal, not the extension. He will renew and his contract is still ongoing. Why do we hear a lot of talk about Al-Sulayya in this period? I do not know, and Al-Sulayya is a great player and deserves appreciation.”
On the other hand, the Al-Ahly Football Planning Committee intends to visit one of the football team’s training before the Red Genie travels to Tunisia to face Esperance in the African Championship. The Al-Ahly football team is currently resting from training, and training will resume next Thursday, in preparation for facing Esperance in the Champions League.
It is scheduled to visit Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the club’s president, and the Football Planning Committee, which is headed by Mohsen Saleh and includes in its membership Zakaria Nassef, one of Al-Ahly’s training before the Tunisia trip.
Al-Ahly set June 15 as an initial date for traveling to Tunisia to play the Esperance match, which will be held on June 19, with the first leg of the African Champions League semi-final, while the return match will be held on June 26 in Cairo.
