The English Premier League club, Liverpool, announced the candidacy of the first-team football winger, Mohamed Salah, for the award for the best player in the English Premier League “mass”.
Mohamed Salah was among the nominees for the Fifa Player of the Year award for the 2020/2021 season, while his colleague Sadio Mane was the last winner of the award from last season.
Mohamed Salah had had a good season with Liverpool in the English Premier League, scoring 22 goals and competing until the last round for the top scorer title before being decided by Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
The Egyptian international contributed to Liverpool’s third place in the English Premier League and qualifying for the group stage of the Champions League despite injuries and a difficult season that the Reds suffered.
Mohamed Salah is competing for the award with: Harry King (Tottenham), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Patrick Bamford (Leeds United), Ole Watkins (Aston Villa).
