The Professional Players Association in England chose Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s top scorer and first star, in its team of the year last season.
Mohamed Salah lost the top scorer title in the last round, after Tottenham star Harry Kane scored his 23rd goal, and the Liverpool star stopped at the 22nd goal.
The team of the season included a number of players from Manchester City, the English Premier League champions, including the Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson.
The defense consisted of the City trio: Joao Cancelo, Robin Diaz and John Stones, in addition to Luke Shaw, the left back of Manchester United.
In the midfield, the City stars dominated again, with Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne alongside Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, and Tottenham Hotspur’s Son.
In the attack, Harry Kane, the golden shoe holder and top scorer of the competition, attended with his competitor throughout the season, Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star.
