Leica, the global company specializing in the production of professional cameras and phone camera lenses, announced its intention to launch a smartphone that it developed in cooperation with Sharp, according to RT.

According to experts at Leica, the Leitz Phone 1 will be equipped with a basic camera that will be among the best phone cameras that appeared this year, and it has a special 20-megapixel wide-angle lens.

The phone will also get a ToF sensor that will help its cameras take more realistic pictures, and a 12.6-megapixel front camera that works with facial recognition technologies, and its structure came with a very distinctive design, and it was made of metal, plastic and carbon fiber, and it came with a thickness of 9.5 mm and a weight of 212 grams. It is protected from water and dust according to IP68 standards.

As for the screen in this device, it will be a 6.6-inch IGZO type, a display resolution equivalent to (2730/1260) pixels, and a frequency of 240 hertz.

Its excellent performance will ensure a modern Snapdragon 888 processor capable of handling 5G networks, 12 GB RAM, and 256 GB internal memory expandable up to 1 TB.

The phone will work with the Android 11 operating system and with special operating interfaces, and a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh that deals with fast charging and wireless charging technologies.
