The price of one tourist seat in the manned Russian Soyuz spacecraft will be cheaper than in the American “Dragon” and “Starliner” spacecraft, as this was announced by Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of the Russian Aerospace Corporation, Dmitry Rogozin, in an interview he gave on June 3. On the sidelines of the Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to the “RT” website, he said: “With regard to the price of a tourist seat in the “Starliner” vehicle, it ranges between 60 and 90 million dollars, and as for Elon Musk, the price of the seat is in the range of 55-60 million dollars, and as for our price, it is lower.. So we hope that international space tourists will choose Russian manned spacecraft.”
Rogozin did not mention the price set by Roscosmos, saying it was a trade secret.
However, spaceflight for a businessman, according to Rogozin, is not only the price, but also the time needed to prepare him for the space flight, and if he was told that he had to leave his business for a whole year to train for the flight, he would naturally refuse to do so.
Also, if he was told that the training would take 3 months and the space flight to the International Space Station would take only 3 hours, he would of course agree to it and would choose “Ros Cosmos” and the Russian spacecraft.
Rogozin said that the issue of rapid flight training is currently being resolved by preparing the director of the film “The Challenge” and the Russian actress participating in it for the trip to the International Space Station, while the Russian “Soyuz” is really one of the fastest manned spacecraft in the world.
