The Slovak national team defeated Poland 2-1 in the first round of Group E of the European Championship “Euro 2020”.
The victory raised the score of the Slovak team to 3 points, and left the Polish team without a score of points before the confrontations with Spain and Sweden, to complicate its position from the beginning.
After a quiet start, the first goal for Slovakia came through after a great skill from Mac, who penetrated from the left side to shoot a ball that ensured goalkeeper Chezny converted it into his own net in the 18th minute.
Karol Linetti scored the equalizer for Poland in the 46th minute, before Skrinar grabbed the full match points for the Slovak team with his goal in the 69th minute.
The first round competitions in the group conclude with a heavy-caliber confrontation between Spain and Sweden, with the two sides of the first match in the group getting closer after the conflict erupted early between them.
