The Alexandria Poison Center warns of the “kings pill”: it becomes toxic during this time

The Poison Center of the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, warned against excessive consumption of the plant known as “the king’s pill”, which is used to treat severe constipation that affects many citizens.

The center said in a warning statement, which was published on its official page on the social networking site “Facebook”, today, Monday, that the plant of “the king’s pill” has many hearts, but it is poisonous; So it must not be handled the wrong way.

The center identified several precautions that must be followed while taking the kings pill, most notably not to take excessive doses of pills or not to use the kings pill oil, especially the sediments that contain most of the poison, as well as the need to take it under the supervision of a doctor.

The center added that the symptoms of poisoning after eating the king’s pill are “stress – general deterioration of health – tightness in the chest – delirium – heartburn.”

He pointed out that it is necessary to go to the poison center, to do the necessary to receive intravenous fluids, to prevent dehydration and control symptoms of poisoning as a result of taking the kings pill.

It is reported that the kings pill plant helps to get rid of severe constipation and clean the colon, and it is used in several ways, the same grains as leaves, roots, or even the oil from which the kings pill is extracted
