Director Mohamed Abdel-Khaleq is preparing to start filming his first cinematic projects – after a number of television works, the last of which was the Saudi film “Cairo Jeddah Rayeh Gay”, a story, script and dialogue by Ahmed El-Bay, the author of the movie “Ismailia Rayeh Gay”, which achieved great success in 1997. .
The film, according to Abdel-Khaleq, takes place entirely in Saudi Arabia, across many famous places, starring the Saudi comedy star Fayez Al-Malki with the young Lebanese woman Dareen Al-Bayed, along with a number of Egyptian stars, most notably the singer Mohamed Nour, the comedian Mohamed Tharwat and the artist Hala Fakher.
Author Ahmed El-Bay, who returns to the cinema after an absence of 8 years since his last movie, “The Game of the Game” by star Mustafa Qamar, said that the film’s idea came from the great Egyptian-Saudi rapprochement in recent years, and the development witnessed by the relations between the two countries in all fields.
Al-Bayh added that the film revolves around two friends, one of whom is a Saudi father and an Egyptian mother (Fayez Al-Malki), and the other is an Egyptian who decide to go to Saudi Arabia in search of the first father, and since they set foot on the grounds of Jeddah Airport until they are exposed to a big dilemma that results in many exciting events in an interesting comic format.
Ahmed Al-Bayh hoped that the film would achieve the success that Ismailia Rayeh Gay achieved 24 years ago, and it was an icon of luck for the nineties generation in Egyptian cinema.
