The Media Center of the Council of Ministers confirmed that what was circulated by some websites and social media pages, of a report attributed to the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce alleging an increase in the prices of 90 commodities in the Egyptian markets, is unfounded.

The media center of the Council of Ministers stated, in a statement, on Friday, that in communication with the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, he denied these news, stressing that there is no truth to the circulating report, which alleges that the prices of 90 commodities have risen in the Egyptian markets, and that this report is fake, and not issued by the General Federation. To the Chambers of Commerce, stressing the stability of the prices of most commodities, especially food and consumer commodities in the Egyptian markets, at their normal rates, as the prices of food commodities such as poultry, fish, dairy and fresh vegetables declined during the past month by rates ranging from 10 to 15% compared to the previous month, appealing to citizens not to be drawn into This is false news, with information obtained from its official sources.

In a related context, red meat prices witnessed relative stability in all governorates at their monthly level, while some types of fruits witnessed a seasonal increase in their prices, not exceeding the normal seasonal annual rates, and it is expected to decline during the coming period, while the prices of ready-made clothes and shoes, as well as most services.
