American production studio New Line Cinema, in cooperation with Warner Bros., announced today that it is now working on a new anime movie for the popular The Lord of the Rings series, titled The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim and will focus on the history of Fort Helm’s Deep. Directed by film director Kenji Kamiyama, who brought us the popular anime series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim movie will tell the story of Helm’s Deep fortress, the fortress that was the main focus of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers movie, and the movie will focus on Helm Hammerhand, King of Rohan and Naos together inside The movie with its bloodstained story.
WB Animation says War of the Rohirrim is a story in its own right, but it will serve as an essential companion to the Lord of The Rings trilogy from distinguished director Peter Jackson. It links the story elements to the anime with some of the elements we saw in the original movies.
It is reported that War of the Rohirrim is one of several new projects of the Lord of The Rings series currently in production and development, the largest of which is of course the upcoming Amazon series Lord of The Rings, which is the largest in the history of television so far.
