Al-Ahly club is close to regaining its star and playmaker Mohamed Magdy “Afsha” against Esperance of Tunisia in the first leg of the African Champions League semi-final in Rades on the 19th of this month.
A source told “Yalla Koura” that Afsha will participate in the training gradually, starting from Saturday, but according to a strict medical program to qualify the player to participate in the first leg against Esperance.
Afsha continued to work within his rehabilitation program and engage in various physical exercises such as running around the field, to be ready to return to group training.
In the same context, Mohamed Hani underwent a medical examination, which saw his condition improve significantly after he was injured in the Nahdet Berkane match in the African Super in Doha, so that the player is also close to appearing in the second match against Esperance on June 26.
The medical staff was also keen to check on the condition of Tara, the Olympic team player, to ensure his readiness to travel with Al-Ahly to Tunisia.
As for Mahmoud Metwally, the team’s defender returning from injury, he will participate in group training within days, to be on the team’s list for the return leg in Cairo.
Ajayi managed to reach the ideal weight during the rest period he obtained to become physically fit to participate with his team, starting from the first match with Esperance.
