Barcelona has decided to renew its confidence in coach Ronald Koeman, after his meeting with Joan Laporta, president of the Catalan club.
The Catalan club will activate the clause of adding another year in Koeman’s contract, so that the Dutch coach will remain at the helm of the technical leadership of Barca next season.

Barcelona player Ousmane Dembele confirmed that he is not in a hurry to renew his contract with the Catalan club.

Denial of a move to Bayern
International player Florian Neuhaus denied reports confirming his transfer from German club Borussia Moenchengladbach to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022.
Neuhaus said: “I have also read that my move in 2022 to Bayern has been decided, and now I can deny this here very clearly, as I have not signed any contract anywhere except with Borussia Moenchengladbach.”
Warning of high ambitions
Mainz coach Bo Svensson warned against high ambitions in his team next season, after the team managed to avoid relegation from the German first division (Bundesliga), after a strong career in the second half of the last season.
“There is a need to do a lot of work again next season,” Svensson said.
“The fans can expect the team to play with courage, but it should be made clear to everyone that there are no guarantees of winning matches,” he added.
