A source in Zamalek Club confirmed that Ferjani Sassi, the football team player, has not yet arrived in Cairo, adding that they are awaiting his arrival.
The source also revealed that the photos circulating on the social networking sites Facebook and Twitter are old and have no basis in truth, and the position and time of his arrival is still ambiguous. This comes in response to the photos circulated by activists on the communication sites confirming Sassi’s arrival in Cairo and Nabil Abdel Fattah, Director of Public Relations, who confirmed that they are old and not real.
Events erupted quickly during the past hours in the file of the renewal of the Tunisian international Ferjani Sassi for his contract with Zamalek Club, which expires at the end of the current season.
The events began when a source inside Zamalek announced that the club’s management was preparing a note against the Tunisian international, Ferjani Sassi, the team’s midfielder, after he had stopped training since June 17, following the end of the international suspension period, in which Sassi participated with his country’s national team in some international friendly matches. And he did not return to Cairo due to the expiration of his contract with Zamalek since last May 30.
The memorandum includes the player’s interruption from training since June 17, and a similar memorandum will be submitted against any club that the player contracts with, due to inciting Sassy not to complete the term of his contract with Zamalek.
The International Football Association (FIFA) FIFA announced the official end dates for the football season in all countries of the world, and the announcement stated the end date of the season in Egypt, which falls on August 26.
