Zina Ibrahim succeeded in qualifying for the 2021 Cairo Gymnastics World Cup final on the balance beam after she ranked second in the qualifiers with a score of 12,700.
While Mandy Mahgoub ranked third in the floor exercise equipment qualifiers with 12.450 points and qualified for the final of the World Gymnastics Cup.
The two players will participate tomorrow, Saturday, in the final qualifiers for the World Cup in order to achieve a medal after the outstanding level that the players of the Egyptian team showed.
More than 300 players representing 16 countries from around the world will participate in the tournament, and the tournament is receiving great attention from Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and the Gymnastics Federation headed by Dr. Ihab Amin, especially since the tournament is being held for the first time in Africa and under the vision of the International Federation of the game.
The tournament is witnessing strict precautionary measures, to protect the participating delegations from the emerging corona virus, Covid 19, and the medical bubble system was applied, and everyone underwent a medical swab yesterday, and Dr. Ihab Amin stressed the need to adhere to the preventive instructions from the Ministry of Health.
The organizing committee and tournament director, Eng. Yasser Zayed, made great efforts to prepare the Cairo Stadium for this global event, which is being held for the first time in Africa.
