Cairo – “Al-Quds Al-Arabi”: One of the Egyptian lawyers known for their extensive complaints against opponents submitted a complaint to the Egyptian Attorney General, accusing the artist Iman Al-Bahr Darwish of “offending state institutions, inciting against the security services and deliberately spreading false news with the aim of stirring public opinion and spreading chaos and unrest within country.” Lawyer Tariq Mahmoud said in his statement that “Iman Al-Bahr Darwish has recently been spreading false news about the Egyptian state, its institutions and leaders, as he published a video on his personal page on social networking sites Facebook, through which he abused and with external signals, punishable by law for the security services, and deliberately from During this video, which spread on all social media sites, especially the Brotherhood sites that support the Brotherhood, and spread false news regarding the file of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, accusing state institutions of false and fabricated accusations about their management of negotiations on this matter, with the aim of provoking chaos and unrest within the country.
He added that: “The video came through prior agreements with fugitive Brotherhood leaders.”
In his statement, he pointed out that “Iman al-Bahr Darwish has many contacts with parties hostile to the Egyptian state, led by the Brotherhood, which seeks to create chaos in the country, destabilize the country’s internal security and threaten the Egyptian national security.”
He called for “urgent and immediate investigations to be opened into the facts of the submitted communication, and an arrest warrant for Darwish for the crimes mentioned in the report, and to put his name on the lists of people banned from traveling outside the country and refer him to an urgent criminal trial.”
The singer, Iman Al-Bahr Darwish, had attacked the Egyptian government because of the seawater desalination project. And he said in a video clip: “The seawater desalination project is not suitable for 100 million people, but for an area like Marsa Matrouh.” He continued: “The Muslim Brotherhood is talking about my arrest in Egypt because of my statements, as well as about my escape abroad. If someone approaches me, I will make a global scandal,
I am neither afraid nor threatened.”
He wondered about the real ruler of Egypt, referring to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s decision to treat him at the state’s expense, and despite that, the decision was not implemented.
And he threatened that if one of his sons is exposed, he will not be silent, and he will expose the injustice that the Egyptian people are subjected to, in front of the whole world.
He added: “Security arrests me? I don “t think so. Darwish accused the Egyptian security forces of being “arrogant.” He continued, “But they did not reach this degree of extreme injustice in that they arrested the greatest artist in the world who sang for his country from his pocket.”
