The Olympic team quartet Ahmed Hegazy, Mohamed El-Shennawy, Mahmoud Hamdi “Al-Wansh” and Abdel-Rahman Magdy will undergo a comprehensive medical examination tomorrow, Tuesday.
The Olympic team revealed that the quartet had undergone a medical examination in a hospital by the medical staff led by Ayman Zein, the Olympic team doctor.
This comes within the requirements of the International Olympic Committee to make a comprehensive health file for all players participating in the Tokyo Olympics, which is scheduled to start on July 23.
The Olympic team underwent a comprehensive medical examination in the last camp from June 2 to 13, during which it played two friendly matches against South Africa.
Abdel Rahman Magdy was absent from the last camp, in addition to the trio of seniors who were chosen by Shawky Gharib, the technical director.
The trio of Al-Shennawi, Al-Wansh and Abdel-Rahman Magdy are scheduled to receive the anti-Coronavirus vaccine, while Hegazy obtained it during his participation in the Saudi League.
Egypt is in the group that includes Spain, Argentina and Australia.
The Pharaohs will face Spain in the first matches on July 22, before Egypt meets Argentina on July 25 and ends with Australia on July 28.
