Ahmed Mujahid, head of the temporary tripartite committee to manage the affairs of the Football Association, revealed the date of the end of the Egyptian League this season.
Mujahid toldFilGoal.comThe league will end on August 26 in the event that the Egyptian Olympic team loses to Australia and bids farewell to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
“If the team qualified for the second round, the league will end on September 20,” he added.
He continued, “The league matches will be resumed on August 9 instead of August 2.”
And he concluded his statements, “and this is what was notified to all the clubs during their meeting with the Football Association before the start of the Olympics.”
Egypt will play its last match in the group stage on Wednesday morning against Australia.
The Egyptian team had a 0-0 draw with Spain and then lost to Argentina with a goal.
