Swede Matthias Falk, the sixth seed and runner-up in the 2019 World Championships, finished in a marathon match.

Omar Asr defeated Matthias Falk 4-3 in a match that lasted for an hour and five minutes.

He settled the era of the first half with a score of 11-5, before Matthias excelled by two sets 6-11 and 8-11.

In the fourth game, Asr struggled to the end before leveling the score and deciding the game 13-11.

Omar Asr did not despair and equalized the result again with a score of 11-6, to resort to the tie-break, in which Aser outperformed himself and settled it 11-8.
