The Guinean Ministry of Sports announced late on Wednesday that it would not participate in the Tokyo Olympics.
Guinea attributed its non-participation in the Olympics due to the increasing numbers of people infected with the Corona virus and the existence of concerns about the health of the athletes.
The Guinea expedition was supposed to consist of five athletes.
Guinea became the second country to decide not to send any athletes to participate in the Tokyo Olympics, after North Korea.
The Olympics are scheduled to officially open on Friday.
