The ruling comes after the expiry of the deadline granted by the Bahraini judiciary to Mona Al-Saber to return the amount she borrowed from Hala Al-Turk, amounting to 20 thousand dinars.
Through her Instagram account, Mona Al-Saber posted a video clip that includes several photos of her and words of thanks to all those who supported her in her cause and stood by her.
It is noteworthy that, in conjunction with the Mother’s Day celebrations, the Bahraini court issued a ruling to imprison Mona Al-Saber, the mother of the Bahraini artist Hala Al-Turk, for one year, with entry into force, for taking a sum of 200,000 Bahraini dinars from her daughter and giving her a month to collect the necessary amount and pay it to her daughter.
Mona Al-Saber collapsed in a call with the ET Arabic program, noting that she did not expect this to happen to her with the approach of Mother’s Day a few days later, and with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
Al-Saber said that the ruling against her was a stab in the chest from the closest people to her, and that she kept hoping that her daughter would drop the case against her, but she was disappointed with her daughter, and even indicated that her daughter still refuses and denies her knowledge of the matter and testifies against her.
Hala Al-Turk’s mother expressed her fears of imprisonment because of her 9-year-old son, pointing out that she did not find anyone to trust her son.
Al-Saber added, “I am shocked and do not find the words that I can express during this period in which I live, and about her daughter’s gift on Mother’s Day, she replied sarcastically, “The gift is imprisonment with penetration, and that is the reward for my pregnancy, staying up late and playing with her for all these years for free.”
Al-Saber sent a message to her daughter on Mother’s Day and said, “You will not feel my pain, and you will not feel the pain that I am experiencing until you marry and have children. You will not feel this pain and motherhood until after having children.”
Al-Saber confirmed that she did not want her daughter to visit her or see her or hear her voice at all.
