The former Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, expressed his sadness at his country’s exit from the semi-finals of the European Cup after losing on penalties (2-4) to Italy.
Ramos wrote on his Twitter account: “(Exiting the European Cup) is sad and unfair .. because it cannot be so, but you made an entire country shake and get excited .. proud of our team, long live Spain.”
Sad and unfair. It could not be, but you have made an entire country vibrate and get excited. Proud of our Selection. # VamosEspana

It is noteworthy that Ramos experienced difficult moments in his career last season, as he was plagued by injuries and missed several matches for his former team, Real Madrid, before Spain coach Luis Enrique excluded him from the “La Roja” list that participated in the “Euro 2020” finals.
After that, Ramos was forced to leave Real Madrid after the end of his contract and the failure to reach an agreement to extend it.
The 35-year-old defender is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain, where he is expected to undergo a medical examination on Wednesday, with the Parisian club to announce the deal officially at a later time.
