The Sultanate of Oman announced the extension of the suspension of entry to the Sultanate for those coming from 23 countries, as part of precautionary measures to address the Corona pandemic.
وقررت The Higher Committee in charge By examining the mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Corona virus in the Sultanate of Oman, and the Civil Aviation Authority, extending the suspension of entry to the Sultanate for those coming from: the Republic of Sudan, the Federal Republic of Brazil, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Federal Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Sierra Leone, and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
The list also included the suspension of travel from: the United Kingdom, the Republic of India, the Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Bangladesh, the Republic of the Philippines, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Federal Kingdom of Malaysia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The committee added that the list of banned countries has increased to include arrivals from: the Republic of Singapore, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Iraq, the Republic of Iran, the Republic of Tunisia, the State of Libya and the Republic of Argentina, according to what was reported by the Omani News Agency.
The list included those coming from the Republic of Colombia, Brunei and Dar es Salaam, and those coming from any other country if they had passed through any of these countries during the 14 days, starting from five in the evening on Friday, July 9, 2021 until further notice.
The Supreme Committee indicated that Omani citizens, diplomats, health workers and their families are excluded, and the excluded groups will be subject to the approved procedures when they enter the territory of the Sultanate.
The Supreme Committee and the Civil Aviation Authority also decided to remove the Arab Republic of Egypt from the list of countries from which arrivals are prohibited from entering the territory of the Sultanate.
