Tunisian Mohamed Khalil Jendoubi won the first Arab medal in Tokyo in the men’s taekwondo competition, weighing less than 58 kilograms.

The 19-year-old Tunisian won the silver after losing to Italy’s Vito Diacla in the final.

The young Tunisian advanced from the start of the match, losing in the last 60 seconds the gold medal with a score of 16-12.

Jendoubi reached the final after defeating South Koreas John Gang 25-19 in the semi-finals.
