Ahmed Sami, the coach of the Smouha team, nominated his player Ahmed Abdel Qader, who is loaned from Al-Ahly, to compensate for the absence of Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet in the Egyptian team.
Egypt is preparing for a closed camp before playing two matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Angola.
Sami said on Radio On Sport: “I will nominate Ahmed Abdel Qader to compensate for Trezeguet’s absence, and at that time, Hossam El-Badri will be a big surprise.”
He continued, “It is not clear Al-Ahly’s position on Abdel Qader so far. He is on loan for two seasons, but Al-Ahly has the right to restore it after the first season.”
He explained, “Mostafa Fathi will most likely return to Zamalek, which is a rare quality in Egypt, and there is no skilled player like him.”
Regarding the team’s support for the new season, Sami said: “We decided to activate the clause of buying Abdul Kabir Al-Wadi from Wadi Degla.”
Sami continued, “We do not know yet whether we will play the remainder of the cup with the new players or not. We are waiting for the decision of the Football Association and the match schedule.”
He stressed, “There is a great difficulty in preparing for the new season and the rest of our journey in the Egypt Cup, so I will give the players 3 days of rest only after the end of the league.”
He concluded his statements, “The difficulty is also in determining the lists of clubs, because the first registration period is after the end of the league until September 9, and the second is until the end of the same month.”
