Juventus Vice President Pavel Nedved insisted that the club had made the right offer to sign Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo.
Locatelli has been linked with Juventus since the end of the season, and Arsenal joined the clubs wishing to join him.
“We talked to Sassuolo and made an offer, which we believe is the right offer in light of the current atmosphere, with financial matters and the transfer market affected by the Corona virus,” Nedved said on the Italian “Sport Mediaset” network.
“They are convinced that it is a good and appropriate offer, they are always confident, the conversations always take some things to become clear and to be resolved, when you want a player and the player wants you it becomes clear.”
According to reports, Juventus wants to sign the player on loan with the right to buy with a value of 30-35 million euros.
While Arsenal made an offer of 40 million euros and 5 million in incentives, the player expresses a desire to move to Juventus.
The former Milan midfielder, last season he played 34 games, scored 4 and made 3 in the Italian league.
Locatelli, 23, helped Italy win Euro 2020 by defeating England in the final.
