Is Facebook causing an increase in cybercrime against children?

The NSPCC, which specializes in protecting children, accused the social network Facebook of being the cause of the increase in cybercrime against children, according to RT.

The company indicates that, according to the results of its survey, cybercrime against children has increased by 70% during the last three years, and that the police discovered 5,441 cases of sexual contact with children over the network during the last year.

The company adds that Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger were used in nearly 50% of these cases.

For its part, Facebook announced that it is in close cooperation with the police on such issues.
