Reports: Sun Downs opens the door to negotiations to sell Sereno

Press reports revealed that the South African Sun Downs management has expressed its willingness to discuss any offers that come to the purple midfielder Gaston Sereno during the current period.

Al-Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane put the Sundowns wing at the top of his interests, as Muhira, the wife of the coach of Al-Ahly, led intensive negotiations with the management of the South African team to contract with the Uruguayan wing next summer and settled the deal in favor of Al-Ahly, taking advantage of the player’s pressure on his club’s management to accept the red offer.

The South African newspaper, “citizen”, said that Sun Downs’ assistant coach, Mangoba Mengithe, said the club was open to listening to Gaston Serenos offers, but at the moment the player is doing everything he has for Sun Downs.

“Honestly Sereno, he has come back from Uruguay and Sereno seems committed to playing at the club. He started seriously in training. Unfortunately, he suffered a knee injury, and returned to training this week.

The assistant coach continued: “The club is clear that if Sereno asks to leave and the clubs are still interested in him, they should make an offer to management and the club will think about it. The club does not want to kill Gaston’s career. It is important from the chairman and everyone else around the club, if they don’t Sereno wants to play for Sundowns, people have been coming in with good offers, the club is ready at this point we are waiting and waiting for the situation, but in terms of commitment the player looks good.”
