Officials of the Tripartite Committee of the Football Association settled on holding the Egypt Cup and the Egyptian Super, which brings together Al-Ahly and Tala’a Al-Jaish, before the start of the new season of the league.
The new league is scheduled to start if the Egyptian Cup and Super Cup matches are held at the end of September or the first week of next October.
Football Association officials revealed that starting from the next season 2021/2022, the Syrian player will be treated as a foreign player in the event that any club contracts with him.
The Football Association has limited the number of foreign players to five registered players for the first section, two players for the second section, and one player for the third section, provided that the Palestinian player is not considered among the foreign players, and only the Egyptian player is allowed to be involved in the goalkeeping position.
The Egyptian Football Association decided to open the door for the first registration for the next season on August 30, until next September 9, with the addition lists for the first section ending on September 20, for the second section September 22, the third Friday, September 24, and the fourth section for September 29, while the registration of juniors, lounges and women extends until 7. Next October plus the first week of every month.
It was also decided that the second registration period for the same season will be from January 1, 2022 to January 31, 2022.
As for the lists of clubs for the new season, the Egyptian Federation decided to allow each club to register 30 players, in addition to five players born in 99 and later from the emerging players in the club.
