Philippine presidential spokesman Harry Roque said Saturday that President Rodrigo Duterte will lift the ban imposed due to the Corona virus pandemic on travelers from 10 countries next Monday.
Roque said in a statement that travelers from the UAE, Oman, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia will have to stay 14 days in quarantine upon arrival.
This ban was imposed in the Philippines last April due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation in most countries of the world, and then it was expanded to other countries last July to prevent the spread of the highly contagious “delta” strain.
