Saeed Abdel Moneim, Head of the Competitions Committee of the Handball Federation, announced in advance the professional league system for the new season 2021/2022, noting that it will be held in 3 stages.
Abdel Moneim said, in a statement to “The Seventh Day”, that the first stage of the professional league witnesses the presence of 18 teams to play a tournament from one group, with them linked 2002, 2004 to qualify for the first 6 to play in the competition and the 12 are divided into two groups, singles and pairs, to determine the 4 relegated.
Abdel Moneim indicated that the top 6 qualify, 4 of whom qualify to play two combined leagues to renew the champion, stressing that the Al-Ahly and Zamalek poles will meet 5 times over the three stages of the new season, as well as a possible confrontation in the Egypt Cup.
