The Appeals Committee decided in its meeting today headed by Counselor Adel Al-Shorbagy and in the presence of the members Counselor Ibrahim Abdel-Khaleq, Counsellor Mohamed Abaza and Counsellor Gamal Abdel-Moneim to consider the following:

First: The grievance submitted by the Zamalek Club against the decision of the Competitions Committee to fine him 100,000 pounds for collective insults and 100,000 pounds for the dropping of excessive numbers during the second half of the match subject to the penalties.. The committee decided to accept the grievance in form and rejected it in substance.

Second: The grievance submitted by Zamalek Club against the penalty imposed on its player Hazem Imam, by suspending him for 4 matches and a fine of 100,000 pounds for unsportsmanlike behavior. The committee decided to support the suspension penalty because it is not permissible to appeal against suspension penalties of less than 6 matches or fines of less than ten thousand pounds, as well. The committee decided to reduce the fine to 50 thousand pounds.

Third: The grievance submitted by Zamalek Club against the penalty imposed on its player Mahmoud Abdel Razek, with a suspension of 8 months and a fine of 500 thousand pounds .. The committee decided, after reviewing what was included in the reports of the match referee and observer, to amend the decision and only suspend eight matches and a fine of 250 thousand pounds.
