Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was crowned the player of the month in his club for the month of August.
And the official website of the Liverpool club announced that Salah occupied the top spot in the public opinion poll, after the Egyptian player helped his team to win 7 points in the first three matches in the English Premier League this season.
Salah contributed to four goals for Liverpool in August, scoring two goals and making the same.
The report indicated that Salah outperformed the duo Harvey Elliott and Costas Tsimikas in the fans’ vote.
“Thank you, I think it’s a good start for us, seven points in August we wanted the full mark but it’s football,” Salah told Liverpool’s official website.
Salah reached 99 goals in August before scoring his 100th goal in the English Premier League during Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Leeds.
When asked about his favorite goal from them, Salah replied, “I can’t choose, my goal at Chelsea was good, but I think the goal that I was very impressed with was against Manchester United at their stadium at the last minute.”
He concluded his statements, “It is great to score goals to help the team. Scoring 100 goals in the Premier League as a winger is something that I am happy and proud of. I hope to continue on the same path.”
