The Egyptian Football Association announced that Carlos Queiroz had taken over the task of coaching the Pharaohs, replacing Hossam El-Badri, the former coach of the Egyptian national team.
“Professor Carlos Queiroz, your CV speaks for itself,” Mosimane said in a tweet he wrote on his personal account on Twitter.
“You have my full support, and it’s always a pleasure to be with you,” he added.
“Welcome Queiroz to Egypt,” the former South African coach concluded.
Queiroz has previously led the South African national team.
As far as I know FilGoal.com Carlos Queiroz’s contract with the Egyptian national team is extended until the end of the 2022 World Cup, with a value of 60,000 euros per month for him and his assistants.
The penalty clause is equal to one month’s salary, and not qualifying for the World Cup equals immediate termination of the contract.
Queiroz will have three foreign assistants with him. An assistant coach, a load coach, and a performance analyst will be added to the Egyptian equipment chosen by the Football Association.
There will be no salary increases as agreed so far in the event of winning African nations or qualifying for the World Cup, as there will be a financial reward only for each achievement achieved, while the increase will be in the case of renewing his contract if it continues beyond the World Cup 2022.
Egypt is preparing to face Libya twice in October, in the third and fourth rounds of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
