The Confederation of African Football decided to prevent all Sudanese stadiums from hosting the continental competitions of Sudanese clubs and teams, according to beIN Sports.

The Sudanese Football Association had announced a few days ago that the Hawks Al-Jedyan match against Guinea in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers next month will be held in Egypt due to a sufficient ban on Sudan’s stadiums for not meeting the international conditions.

On Sunday, beIN Sports reported that CAF decided to prevent matches from being held in Sudanese stadiums for clubs and teams, after the decision was limited to team matches only.

The Caf Committee for Inspection of Stadiums recently excluded the Blue Jewel Stadium, Al Hilal’s stronghold, after it was the only stadium authorized by the International Football Association “FIFA” and CAF.

Hassan Abu Jabal, Secretary-General of the Sudanese Football Association, said in a statement published last week that they had received a letter from the Confederation of African Football on September 20, 2021, after the visit of CAF representatives to Al Hilal and Al Obeid stadiums a week ago.

Abu Jabal explained that CAF decided to ban playing in Sudan for the national team, and to play its matches outside Sudan in one of the stadiums approved for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

He confirmed that the Sudanese Federation addressed its Egyptian counterpart on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in order to hold the match of the Sudanese team in the third round of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers, scheduled for October 6, 2021 at Cairo International Stadium.

Abu Jabal stated that CAF approved the Al-Abyad Stadium for the matches of the second preliminary round of the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup after the qualification of the clubs of Al-Hilal, Al-Marikh and Al-Ahly Meroe, noting that if the clubs reach the group stage, the Sudanese clubs will play their matches outside the ground because the stadium is not qualified to host matches from the group stage. .

The match between Sudan and Morocco in the fifth round of the qualifiers, which will be held next November, will also be played in Egypt, as requested by the Sudanese side.

The Sudanese team is bottom of its group in the World Cup qualifiers without points.

He lost to Morocco 2-0, and fell to Guinea Bissau, 2-4.
