Brighton continued its good results in the English Premier League this season by beating Leicester City with two goals to one in the fifth round matches.
Leicester won in four matches out of the five rounds that were held and raised its score to 12 points in third place temporarily.
Niall Mawbay opened the scoring for Brighton in the 35th minute with a penalty kick, before Danny Welbeck added the second goal in the 50th minute.
Jamie Vardy scored Leicester’s only goal in the 61st minute on an unfinished comeback road.
Leicester City’s balance froze at 6 points after five rounds, in twelfth place with a second loss in a row.
Leicester almost turned the tables on Brighton, but two goals were canceled by video technology due to offside.
Lookman scored the first canceled goal in the 67th minute before Wilfried Ndidi scored a fatal goal in the 86th minute, but it was also canceled.
Brighton will visit Crystal Palace next Sunday in the sixth round matches.
While Leicester City host Burnley in search of a return to victories again.
