The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority announced the death of the released prisoner, who was ill with cancer, Hussein Masalmeh, on Wednesday evening, at Istishari Hospital in Ramallah.

It is noteworthy that the prisoner Masalma was arrested in 2002, and was sentenced to 20 years in prison, of which he spent about 19 years.
The Prisoner’s Club confirmed that the occupation is responsible for what the captive has reached peacefully, as it carried out the crime of medical negligence against him, which has long and continues to affect hundreds of prisoners in the prisons of the occupation.
He added that the current data regarding sick prisoners in the occupation prisons is dangerous, with new cases of tumors of different degrees recorded, especially among prisoners who have spent more than 20 years.
The Prisoner’s Club called on international human rights organizations, led by the World Health Organization, to intervene urgently and seriously to intervene to release sick prisoners in occupation prisons, and to send a neutral medical committee.
