The Zamalek handball team reserved the last ticket to participate in the Club World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia from October 4 to 10 of the same month.
Zamalek managed to win the African Super Cup at the expense of its rival Al-Ahly in the last seconds, with a score (28-27).
Zamalek became the last to qualify for the Super Globe Club World Cup, as: (Barcelona of Spain – Al Duhail of Qatar – Sydney of Australia – San Francisco of America – Pinheiros of Brazil – Magdeburg of Germany – Al Wahda and Al Noor of Saudi Arabia – Aalborg of Denmark).
The draw resulted in a fiery confrontation awaiting Zamalek, where it will face Barcelona – the European champion – in the quarter-finals.
The draw was as follows:
* Sydney (Australia) x Magdeburg (Germany)
* Saudi Unity x San Francisco of America
* The winner of the Sydney-Magdeburg match will face Al Duhail of Qatar
The winner of the Al-Wahda and San Francisco match will face Aalborg
* Light x Pinheiros
* Barcelona x Zamalek
The road to Zamalek, if it beat Barcelona, will be against the winner of the Al-Nour match and Pinheiros.
On the other hand, the winner of the Al Duhail match and the Australian champion or the German champion will be against the winner of the Aalborg match and its rival Al Wahda or San Francisco.
The final match will be held on October 10, in contrast, the match for third and fourth place will be held on the same day as well.
