Carlos Queiroz, coach of the Egyptian national team, postponed his arrival in Cairo, after he was scheduled to arrive this evening, Tuesday, to start his mission with the Pharaohs, and he did not specify the date of his new arrival.
While his assistant, Ossiano Cruz, will arrive in Cairo tomorrow, Wednesday, to begin his mission with the Pharaohs assistant apparatus, and the Football Association will bear the salaries of the four foreign assistants who will be brought by Carlos Queiroz, the technical director of the Egypt national team, to work with him in the coming period, and they are his assistant, load planner, performance analyst and medical expert.
Queiroz refused to bear the salaries of the four assistants from his own salary, as was done by Hector Cuper, the former coach of the Egyptian national team, and insisted that the Football Association bear the cost, which was approved by the Tripartite Committee.
In a related development, Carlos Queiroz, coach of the Egyptian national team, asked the Football Association to launch the Pharaohs camp on September 30, in preparation for the Libya matches on October 9 and 12 in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
In the coming hours, the Football Association is scheduled to announce the postponement of matches before the Egypt Cup final, to give the new technical staff the opportunity to prepare for the match, get to know the players, explain the game plan and treat the errors that appeared in the Angola and Gabon matches.
The Egyptian Football Association decided to resume football activity by holding the super match for last season between Al-Ahly and Tala’a El-Gaish on September 21.
While the matches of the round of 16 of the Egyptian Cup (Al-Ahly with Enppi and Smouha with Pyramids) will be held on September 25, and the eighth round match between the winners of the two matches on September 29, with the semi-final match between Zamalek and Aswan on October 2 and the other match between the winner in the quarter-finals With Petrojet on October 3, while the cup final will take place on October 19, before the start of the Premier League on October 25.
